Dr. Ibukun Adebayo is an astute real estate & finance professional with extensive experience in various capacities in the real estate & finance industries. She started her career as a Fixed Income Investment Analyst with Financial Datanet House Limited, after which she served in Chapelhill Denham Management, where she was in charge of Private Wealth and Unit Trust Funds Management
At Chapelhill, she published several articles on Funds Management and provided content for the Periodic Mutual Funds Newsletters. She subsequently moved on to head the real estate department of The Infrastructure Bank PLC., - a private sector-led but public sponsored Development Finance Institution
At TIB, she spearheaded major infrastructure developments within the country and in various capacities, led financial modeling teams to prepare models that span across different projects, including the financial model for the Lagos-Ibadan Toll Road project.
In 2018, she established Rock Realty Limited, where she currently serves as the CEO. Rock Realty is a Real Estate Development & Advisory Company which focuses on the development of middleincome real estate, mortgage advisory and corporate real estate advisory. The Company currently has a project pipeline of over 300 housing units across different project sites and is currently driving the recently launched Diaspora Real Estate initiative in partnership with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
She has won several awards for her innovations in the space of middleincome real estate and she owns majority shares in other companies which include: Cornucopia Consulting Limited, an Investment Consulting and Transaction Advisory Services Company; and Today’s Bukka; the foremost Nigerian foods restaurant in Abuja which provides a forestthemed African dining experience for its customers; Balm Hospital Limited, a state-of-the-art medical center in Ilorin, Kwara State. Ibukun, is the author of the book “I Want my Home”, An easy guide to Home Ownership for Middle Income earners. She is also the convener of the Women in Real Estate Africa (WIRE Africa) network; which is positioned to serve as a platform that empowers, educates and provides collaboration opportunities for women in the real estate sector across Africa.
She is passionate about wealth building through real estate and focuses on working with middle income earners to own their homes and build wealth through serial real estate investments. Ibukun, IBK as she is fondly called by many, earned her first degree in Medicine and Surgery, practiced as a doctor for a few years and subsequently took a career detour into Investment, Finance and Real Estate. She is currently undertaking a masters in real estate in the New York University and has over 15 years’ experience spanning investment banking, development finance and real estate.
